The other element of New York and - one Brooklyn Bridge walking tour later - the other side of Brooklyn was the people, an explosion of diversity, style and moments interacting with their environments, some at home, others passing through; some photos modelled, others unexplainable, all to capture. It’s the best thing about a city that’s always on the move. One of my favourite afternoons was just wandering around Nolita and through Soho in golden hour after my food tour (a must), sketching, people-watching and then actually approaching a handful of them to ask for a photo, and get involved in an impromptu photoshoot. And trying a little posing experimentation myself (thank you my friends who put up with me). When I eventually do go back, it’s the people I’ll be looking to capture all over again.
