Perhaps it's because I'm still an amateur and it's self-consciousness whispering in my ear, but there's something just a little awkward about street photography. Especially if you're like me with my 'small' camera. Prop a Canon 5D in front of your face and you instantly look more the part, even if your hands may be shaking and shoulders aching after trekking through the city with it.

I still have to fight the urge to yell 'I'm sorry, I'M NOT A CREEPER!' at every passerby who gives me a lingering stare. Oh well. I'm slowly working past that, and the amusing thought that people are probably looking at me and thinking 'female Asian tourist by herself...taking photos of the ground...'

5pm on a Friday afternoon...the shadows of people making their way to unknown places are interesting things.
